It's the people that make the difference, particularly for a software company. Here are a selection of the iMeta Team; click on the magnify icons to see a bit more information.
I'm a senior consultant / lead working on the MiVoice family of products. I've taken a particular interest in build processes and have been working on spreading this knowledge across the rest of the company.
Outside of work I am a keen online gamer, reader, and open source developer, and still find time for my wife and 2 children (Iola and Loki).

As Support Manager I have responsibility to provide an effective and efficient support service to our customers, ensuring that my team and I are able to solve any problems that our customers may experience with the software that iMeta builds within the agreed timescales. I also manage our internal IT function, ensuring that our critical systems are available when they are needed and that any problems that our teams encounter are solved as quickly as they can be. I have a team of two developers (Dave and Kathy) and a systems administrators (Joe) to help me to achieve these aims.
Outside of work I enjoy rock climbing, walking, badminton and spending time with my family and friends.

Ben has extensive commercial experience and knowledge of the wholesale financial markets and telecommunications and a proven track record of growing businesses and delivering complex IT solutions. Prior to iMeta, Ben was at Reuters where he generated significant revenue growth in software licence and consulting contracts whilst developing a new business area for Reuters. At Global Crossing he grew the extranet services business within the financial community with considerable success and built a £40m per year outsourcing and managed services business.
Ben is now responsible for developing iMeta's long term strategic business goals.
At week ends you will find Ben battling the elements on a sailing boat or at home enjoying the simple pleasures a young family brings. He is also part of the iMeta running team and trains regularly during lunchtimes.

At work as a Solution Architect I find myself working with customers early in the early stages of projects, most often before they have committed to work with iMeta. We work with the customer to identify the problems they are trying to solve, or the goals they are hoping to achieve, and design a suitable cost effective system for them. This involves a bit of architecture work, some work as a dev testing ideas, some technical evangelism to show people what’s possible, basically a professional geek.
At home it’s much the same as my job is also my hobby, however we also enjoy looking after our young daughter who’s just one – she enjoys watching the rugby almost as much as her Dad. We also look forward to any excuse to take out either the Stag or the Ducati, it’s useful having other Ducatisti in the office too!

As a senior developer on the M team I’m responsible for managing junior developers as well as interacting with our customers and developing new software using the latest Microsoft Technologies. I also travel to Asia to run training courses for our customers, which in turn provides me with a better understanding of what they need and how we can best achieve it and deliver it.
Outside of work I regularly go cycling in the new forest which is almost on the doorstep of the office and play in a 5 a side league on Monday evenings. I also enjoy snowboarding and I’m regularly on the slopes in the winter months.
Steve Goodman
I am relatively new to iMeta and joined as a Support Consultant. This involves problem solving on a number of different levels for a number of different customers.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, dinner party cooking (being experimental!), watching and playing most sports – I draw the line at snooker and darts. I also enjoy walking along the beach and generally enjoying all that the New Forest has to offer.
Kathy Kay
As a senior test consultant at iMeta I have experienced a range of testing roles from sole tester on a small project to test lead on projects for large multi-national companies. My responsibilities can vary from the traditional set of test activities to a more extended set including requirements analysis and specification. As part of the role on-site visits to clients have taken me from Bristol & Newcastle in the UK to Singapore in the Far East. I also take an active role in our environmental activities, although other staff might use words like nagging...
When not working I’m most likely to be found watching rugby & cricket, going to gigs or attempting to make things grow in my garden. That’s when I haven’t been coerced into baking sausage rolls for 40 hungry developers
Julie Benson
As a Senior Support Consultant at iMeta I focus on tracking down and resolving issues that customers may have with our software whilst providing advice and guidance to other members of the team. I also head up the Ministry of Fun, organising sports and social events throughout the year.
When not at work I can usually be found in the company of friends & family, playing/singing with my band Mavis Grind, on the football pitch, in the veg patch or roaming the countryside with the dog.
Dave Evans
As one of the Technical Leads at iMeta I am responsible for keeping on top of the latest technologies, improving development practices and processes. I'm also involved in the development of internal frameworks, DSLs and tools which we can leverage to gain competitive advantage.
Outside of work I am a Grade 8 pianist, also enjoy running, cycling and swimming. I spend a lot of time out with my family, having a little 17month girl absorbs a lot of time:)

As a Project Manager my work is varied and interesting with every day presenting new and (mostly) interesting challenges and problems to resolve.
I tend to split my time between managing customer relations (with Northern Rock), overseeing development and testing of our product (NRO), managing and rewarding staff development (appraisals), assigning workload (who does what and when), managing my fantasy league team and generally wishing for more hours in the day!
As a Parent of 2 young boys my home life is varied and interesting with every day presenting new and (mostly) interesting challenges and problems to resolve.
I tend to split my time between managing customer relations (with my wife), overseeing development and testing of our products (our 2 boys), managing and rewarding individual development (sweets), assigning workload (who has what toy and when), managing my fantasy league team and generally wishing for more hours in the day!

Adrian has an exceptional track-record over two decades of running fast growing IT companies. He has brought disruptive technologies to the marketplace through highly successful enterprises. He is currently running pioneering mobile technologies projects across Europe (UK, France, Italy, Bulgaria) and Asia (China, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines), setting up local businesses and working in partnership with many of the world's biggest FMCG retailers and mobile operators.
Prior to that Adrian worked extensively in the financial sector and retail sectors where he was responsible for successful implementations with numerous Fortune 500 companies. He is technically aggressive and helped drive some of the earliest business use of the Internet into multiple sectors. He provides advice on IT strategy to bodies including Wired Wessex (of which he is a director) and the European commission. He has a PhD in Probability.
In his rather precious spare time, Adrian is an overenthusiastic dad, keen cyclist and enjoys the thrills of snowboarding, quad biking and diving. He also enjoys a game of basket ball with the iMeta team at lunchtimes when he is in the country (which can be rare these days!)
