The development environment for Windows Phone 7 is based entirely around Microsoft’s Silverlight technology. Whilst this may be familiar to RIA developers, it is likely to present a steep learning curve to existing mobile developers who have not had access to such technologies to date.
Windows Phone 7 is not a multi-tasking operating system in the same way that Windows Mobile is, however applications can give the user the experience of multi-tasking by out sourcing the background processing to the cloud and interacting with the user using push notifications. By saving and restoring program state as the program starts and exists it possible to provide the user with the impression that their handset is performing operations on the device, whilst preserving the experience in other applications and the battery life of the handset.
We can help you bring your application to the Windows Phone Marketplace by providing you with essential Silverlight development Silverlight and Cloud Architecture skills training. Alternatively, we can develop your application for you and manage the process from concept to device. Let's talk.
